Frequently Asked Questions

Why Choose Abide Over A Clinic?

At Abide

• Each appointment takes place in the comfort of your own home at the ease of your own schedule. No need to travel or secure childcare; we come to you just as you are and you can feel confident and secure in your own skin.

• Each appointment is spent entirely with Catie, the Owner and Treating Physical Therapist here at Abide. No handing off here!

• You are not one among hundreds. You receive highly personalized care full of empowerment, education, and a healing plan that is specific to your story and lifestyle.

• You receive doctorate-level feedback for your entire session.

• Catie acknowledges and identifies every sign and treats your symptoms properly without assumption or dismissal.

• Catie is a mom just like you. She has been through post-partum therapy and has likely endured similar or exacting symptoms that you exhibit - if anyone can relate, it’s her!

• Catie works from the heart, not in order to meet a quota. Your investment is protected by Abide’s vision: that you experience lasting, healing results and learn the best ways to maintain them so you can lead the life you want.

At A Clinic

• You will likely spend extra time, effort, and money organizing childcare, getting ready, balancing your family’s schedule to travel to a clinic. It’s possible that you will be performing exercises in a shared room while other patients perform theirs.

• You typically meet with a doctor for ~15 minutes and are handed off to a tech to move you through your exercises and take notes for your therapist.

• An average therapist sees 12-14 patients in an 8-hour day. Many start each client out with a generic exercise plan.

• The minimum education requirement for the tech/aide moving you through exercises is a high school diploma.

• Unassuming symptoms that are commonly dismissed in today’s health world may be overlooked or dismissed.

• Your Physical Therapist may have never experienced pregnancy personally.

• Some insurance-networked health providers prioritize the number of clients they maintain and the quantity of appointments they book. Transparency and personalization can be lost, leaving your investment in the hands of your provider and not you.

Does Abide Take Insurance?

The short answer is no - Abide works for you, not your insurance company!

For those with insurance, superbill/receipt is provided that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. With one-on-one attention, hands-on treatment, and tons of education over the course of each appointment, Abide helps patients reach their goals in fewer appointments when compared to the typical outpatient clinic. Depending on your copay, cost of gas, and childcare, it’s likely that your investment with Abide is actually the most affordable option since we come to you.

If money is at all a hindrance to booking an appointment, please give us a call for a free phone consultation to determine what your exact needs are.

Do I Need A Referral?

Catie is Direct Access certified, which means you can receive care without a doctor’s referral. Just call and schedule an appointment whenever you’re ready.
